5 Keto Dessert Toppings

One thing our PBH Foods customers are always asking us for is ways to jazz up their PBH Foods Keto desserts and Paleo desserts. We love getting creative when it comes to making our desserts just a little extra special. We always try and find the best ingredients to pair up with our freshly baked goodies at our local supermarket. A personal favorite supermarket for us is Trader Joe’s.

Trader Joe's brand products are on average said to be nearly 37 percent cheaper than their name brand competitors. It is the perfect place to stock up on some hard to find items that are also essential in the kitchen. From creamy nut butters to some amazing frozen food entrees, Trader Joe’s is the perfect supermarket to stroll through and find some spectacular deals that pair well with all of our paleo desserts and keto desserts.

Below I am going to share some scrumptious, and of course low carb, creations I have come up with. Each of these recipes feature Trader Joe’s items and of course some of our very own Paleo and Keto PBH Foods desserts!

  1. Keto Fudge Cookie & Almond Butter Sandwich:

For this you will need a jar of Trader Joe’s Raw Creamy Almond Butter with No Salt and a few of our delicious Keto Fudge cookies. Just take about half a spoonful of this creamy goodness and lather it between two PBH Foods Keto Fudge cookies for a new kind of dessert sandwiches that will satisfy every chocolate lover in your life. Our Keto Fudge cookies are only 2g net carbs each and this almond butter is 3g of net carbs per serving!

Almond butter, along with other nut butters, are paleo and keto friendly. Typically peanut butter is not allowed on the paleo diet since peanuts are legumes, but almond butter is a great alternative. Nut butters, especially almond butter, is an essential part of the Keto diet. Almonds provide a great source of fat and they contain a whopping total of 7g of protein per 2 TBSP serving! Trust us, almond butter and our keto fudge cookies pair perfectly together.

  1. Keto Lemon Coconut Cookie & Mascarpone Sandwich:

Fresh Lemon and Mascarpone has always been an extraordinary culinary duo. From cheesecakes to cream pies, they are often found together and are always delicious. For a more decadent dessert option, after a satisfying Sunday dinner, scoop some Trader Joe’s Mascarpone sweet cheese in between two of our Keto Lemon Coconut cookies. You will quickly find that the unsweetened coconut flakes used in our fresh baked Keto Lemon Coconut cookies unite these two products into holy matrimony. Luckily for the Keto advocate in your family, this sweet cheese has no carbs, and our Keto Lemon Coconut cookies are only 2 net carbs per freshly baked treat.

If you are on the Keto diet, and even if you are not, then you must have already heard how awesome Mascarpone can be! When in a pinch, mascarpone can be the star ingredient for any Keto friendly dessert, or just a midday snack. Trader Joe’s Mascarpone is free of any carbs and is made up of 3 clean ingredients. Our Keto Lemon Coconut cookies are also Paleo friendly, and they are fresh baked every time an order is placed. Don’t forget to try out this dynamic duo!

3. Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies & Almond Milk:

This sounds very basic, but come on, what is better than keto cookies and milk? This is a timeless classic, and a favorite for adults and kids. Nothing can beat a couple of keto chocolate chip cookies dipped in a warm glass of milk. What makes this duo even more powerful is when you decide to use our PBH Foods Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies and the Trader Joe’s Simply Almond Beverage. This delicious beverage and Keto cookie combination is exactly what you need when you are craving a little bit of sugar without the necessary guilt.

Nowadays with the daily rush, most people find it difficult to stay healthy and committed to dietary restrictions. Take it from me, our wonderful Keto Chocolate Chip cookies make it so much easier to satisfy your sweet tooth while on-the-go. Each cookie contains only 1 net carb!

    1. Paleo Walnut Brownies a la Mode:

One of our best selling goodies is our Walnut Brownies. They are made with semi-sweet chocolate and sweetened with coconut sugar and topped with chopped walnuts. They are downright irresistible. To take these already yummy paleo brownies to the next level, just warm them up in the oven for 3 minutes on 325 F and top with a scoop of Trader Joe’s Light Joe-Joe’s Ice Cream. This shockingly light ice cream alternative come in two different flavors; Cookies & Cream and Chocolate Peanut Butter. This creamy light ice cream is the ultimate alternative for the traditional scoop of vanilla ice cream as it contains only 9g of net carbs and 20g of protein per serving. It is sweetened with stevia and monk-fruit so it makes it a perfect combination for our paleo walnut brownies.

The most amazing part about this duo is that our Paleo Walnut Brownies are baked fresh so they are moist, sweet, and crunchy because of the chopped walnuts. When you add a scoop of ice cream and you have just created your own Paleo friendly masterpiece!

    1. Keto Donuts  drizzled with Dark Chocolate:
